Your receipt images and details stay on your device. The native receipt tools do not require an account, send your archive to the publisher, or include analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
From version 1.1, the device display name is Sota DNS Connect. An on-device check of 29 configured URL schemes selects the initial screen: an online service if a supported handler is available, or the original receipt workspace otherwise. The check results remain on your device. When the native workspace opens, the online service is not loaded.
The online service receives the network information needed to respond, including your IP address, app bundle identifier, and preferred language. The service operator states that it does not collect or retain user data. App-owned native code does not transmit your receipt archive to that service. This section applies when version 1.1 is released; the receipt storage information below continues to apply.
Camera access is used only when you choose to scan a receipt. Scanned images and recognized text are processed on your device with Apple’s VisionKit and Vision frameworks. We do not receive them.
Receipt images, merchants, dates, totals, categories, and notes are stored in PaperHaven’s local app container. Deleting a receipt removes its stored images; removing the app deletes its local archive.
The receipt scanner and archive are free, with no receipt limit, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. Exported files, device backups, and support messages are handled by the services you choose to use.
